Club Service-Intl Projects - Romania and Malawi

Our Club has made many important International service contributions and this section, which is presently under development, will highlight many of them.

Projects include:

Rumania - Deborah House - Lee Harris

Our club secured a Matching Grant and, in partnership with a club in Rumania, we were able to mitigate the damaging effects of drought which had killed the fruit trees in the home's orchard. Our project was to provide irrigation facilities,enable a measure of self sufficiency and create a saleable surplus of produce to generate income for the facility.

Two former Club Presidents were involved -  Lee Harris who initiated the project and Cora Huitt who followed up during her presidential year. Cora is featured in the photograph below.
